Aksis operates in Morocco and in West and Central Africa, notably in Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Cameroon.
We take on a hotel project in its entirety, with an integrated vision, a single point of contact and a guaranteed result. What we sell is our experience in fit-out, our advice on structuring and directing projects, and our know-how in logistics.

Mission
Welcoming with passion, professionalism and hospitality
Yuma Restaurant, Dakar
Our approach covers hotel renovation, Interior Fit-Out, FF&E and OS&E sourcing and the specification of materials suited to the requirements of operation, durability and profitability.
Every fit-out decision is made by seeking the right balance between architectural identity, guest experience, budget control and brand standards, according to the positioning and the classification of the property.
Complementary
profiles

Four areas of expertise brought together around each project: leadership and development, architecture, investment and operations, Interior Fit-Out, FF&E and OS&E sourcing.
Founder and Managing Director of Aksis Hospitality Development. He holds a Master’s in Hospitality & Tourism Management from ESCP Business School, a Professional Development Program from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, a Master’s in Management from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor’s in Business & Management from Queen Mary, University of London.
Within Accor's Luxury & Lifestyle Africa division, he led cross-functional strategic projects across a portfolio of 17 hotels (Morocco, Egypt, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Mauritius, Seychelles), in development as well as in operations, renovation and investment. Earlier roles in finance at the Shangri-La Hotel Paris and at the CGEM (International & Africa), the Moroccan employers’ federation, completed his reading of the economics of the sector across the continent.
At Itqane Group Africa, he led the turnkey delivery of a 5 star hotel in Dominica, in the Caribbean, from the design of the spaces through to operational handover, along with the construction of a hospitality and catering training centre in Conakry, Guinea.
Today he brings expertise and partners together around each project, from strategic vision to delivery, with one clear ambition: singular, high performing and durable hotel projects.
More than 20 years of experience in international luxury hospitality, across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Ocean. At Accor, Mehdi Morad held the position of Vice President Operations for Africa, Mauritius, Reunion and the Seychelles within the Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems brands. There he ran a multi-country portfolio, supported hotel openings and repositionings and contributed to the development of the luxury brands, in close liaison with owners and investors.
Previously Country General Manager for Kenya and Djibouti, he led a portfolio of seven properties and supported its growth through new openings and asset repositioning. His career also took him to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Kenya and to Radisson Blu in Dubai and Mauritius.
With Aksis Hospitality Development, he puts this experience at the service of developers and investors, supporting their investment, development and hotel management strategies: selection of operators and brands, structuring and negotiation of management agreements, and alignment of the project with the investors’ objectives.
